Hi, my name is Mark Roehler. I am located in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, and am married with 3 children (two girls, and one boy) and five grandchildren (3 boys, and 2 girls). I have had a very full and busy career to date, which started by working in automotive, to R&D and corporate environmental support for an insulation manufacturing company, to building a successful environmental consulting business (as one of 4 original founding partners of LEHDER Environmental Services), to semi-retirement while being Health & Safety manager for Montrose Environmental Group Ltd. an environmental consulting company with sites in Calgary, Edmonton Alberta and Point Edward Ontario. Throughout this 40 + years of experience, I gained numerous expertise in various disciplines, but my passion has always been education or training, as well as helping others.
I am passionate about volunteering. I like to help young high school students by providing them with health & safety training to keep them from injury on the job. I have been the Chairman of the Sarnia Steps for Life Walk annual fundraiser (Threads of Life charity for victims of workplace tragedy) for 15 years, as well as assist at my church and the Knights of Columbus.
I want to continue to work due to my passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge, as well as my love of learning. That is why I have started an online business to help small companies with the management of their waste streams, transportation, or safety training issues, while hopefully continuing to learn ways to make digital products around the theme of assisting clients in learning or teaching themselves.
In my home, work, and volunteer life I have always found that whenever you can customize your training to the individual or client’s needs, you will be much more successful. This is irrelevant to whether the training is in person, virtually, computer-based, or a blended training session. As I begin to learn a new style of business and continue to share the knowledge I already have or learn in the future, I will share these findings with you.
Feel free to contact me should you have any waste-related questions or any specific training-related topics you would like discussed in a future blog or just to say hi.
Mark Roehler retired from Canada’s Montrose Environmental Group Ltd., formerly LEHDER Environmental Services Limited in December 2021.
While Mark still has a passion for training, and a wealth of knowledge from over 40 years of environmental, health and safety consulting business and extensive expertise in dangerous goods and hazardous waste, he decided to create a training consulting company with online digital courses as well.
Mark is bringing his training to clients via various routes. In the past 38 years, he has provided many clients onsite customized in-person training courses on dangerous goods and hazardous waste in Canada.
He is continuing to offer this type of service as he sees a need for this type of expertise. He is also bringing his training in-line with current approaches by making his customized training available online or available via blended methods.
He is creating Canadian dangerous goods and hazardous waste courses available to take online. He is also creating custom training courses for his clients, that will be delivered online through computer based training, webinars or blended computer / webinar based to insure competency.
Mark is able to create custom training videos and how to documentations which can be used for onboarding training of employees. The possibilities here are almost limitless.
