Customized Training Made Easy

Most companies think they’re doing the right thing when they say:

“We rely on our waste contractor to classify our waste.”

And to be clear… I’m not against using disposal companies.

But here’s the part that gets missed:

**You can’t outsource understanding.**

As a generator, you are responsible for your waste.
Not just legally—but morally.

And more importantly…
**no one understands your waste better than you do.**

I’ve seen this play out too many times.

Two waste streams that look identical on paper:
Same composition
Same flashpoint
Same pH

But they require completely different classifications.

Why?

Because one is an unused product.
And the other is a waste generated from a process.

That one detail changes everything.

Most people focus on the data:

Flashpoint
pH
Chemical composition

And yes—those matter.

But the real question is:

👉 **How did this waste come to be?**

If you don’t understand that…
you’re guessing.

And guessing with waste classification isn’t just a compliance issue.

It’s a safety issue.

I think about the worker handling that drum…
not fully aware of what’s inside.

That’s not a paperwork problem.

That’s an accident waiting to happen.

The truth is:

Most companies aren’t trying to cut corners.

They just don’t feel confident doing the classification themselves.
So they pass it off to someone they trust.

But if the information going to that contractor is incomplete…

Then the classification is built on a weak foundation.

The goal isn’t to stop working with disposal companies.

The goal is this:

👉 Understand your waste well enough to **work with them properly**

That includes:

* What you know
* And just as important… what you don’t know

Because sometimes the right answer is:

“We need to test this.”
“We need more information.”

When you truly understand your waste classification, everything changes.

You stop second guessing.
You gain confidence.
And you know your team is handling materials safely.

If this is something you’ve been unsure about, I put together a breakdown here:

👉 [Stop guessing your waste classification]

And if you want to go deeper, this is exactly what I teach inside my **Waste Classification Mastery** training—how to move from guessing… to understanding.

Because at the end of the day…

This isn’t just about getting the code right.

It’s about making sure the people handling your waste go home safe.
